Is XStickies free?
Yes, XStickies is completely free. There are no premium tiers, no subscriptions, and no hidden costs. It's a passion project built for the X community.
Where is my data stored?
All your notes stay in your browser using Chrome's built-in sync storage. Nothing is sent to external servers. If you're signed into Chrome, notes sync across your devices automatically through your Google account.
What permissions does XStickies need?
XStickies only requests access to x.com pages and Chrome storage. It cannot read your X password, DMs, or any data on other websites. You can review the full permission list on the Chrome Web Store page.
Will XStickies slow down X/Twitter?
No. XStickies is lightweight (under 50KB total) and only activates when you hover over a profile. It uses efficient in-memory caching and adds zero network requests.
Can I export my notes?
Yes. Open the XStickies management page (click the extension icon) and use the Export button. All notes and tags are saved as a JSON file you can back up or transfer to another device.
Does it work with other browsers?
Currently XStickies is designed for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). Firefox support may come in the future.
